Sistema para la captación de agua presente en el aire que comprende un primer intercambiador de calor configurado para ser enfriado o calentado y para captar agua, una máquina térmica configurada para calentar y enfriar alternativamente el primer intercambiador de calor; y un soplador configurado para dirigir o interrumpir un flujo de aire al primer intercambiador de calor, donde, en una condición operativa del sistema, la máquina térmica enfría el primer intercambiador de calor y el soplador dirige el aire hacia dicho primer intercambiador de calor para captar el agua del aire, o el soplador interrumpe el flujo de aire hacia el primer intercambiador de calor y la máquina térmica calienta el primer intercambiador de calor para regenerar el mismo.
